I'm interested in teaching

One of God’s greatest callings is to the teaching of His Word, and not just on Sundays or during Sunday School. As a Church, we also hold teaching of God’s Word in the highest esteem. We place a high priority on Christian education and the continuous spiritual growth of students of all ages.

Teachers serve as invaluable instructors and models of Christian living for the students in their classes. Teaching requires commitment. We welcome anyone who has a heart to teach or shepherd, from newborn to adult, there is a place for you here to use your gift and heart, whether it be during Sunday School hour or one of the many times outside of that.

As both a denomination and as a church we seek to protect the physical and spiritual welfare of our teachers and students. Pastor Lonnie Wilkerson oversees Christian education, and reviews curriculum and teacher questionnaires.

To assure the congregation, our denomination, and those outside of our church that we are striving to fulfill our calling, we have a questionnaire that prospective teachers are to fill out.

We do not allow anyone without consistent attendance for 6-months to teach, and they must fill out a questionnaire that requires information that allows for background checks to be completed.
