Inclement Weather Policy
When weather and road conditions dictate that services and ministry activities must be cancelled or postponed the following material outlines these policies:
Decisions to close (or not) are made by Pastor Lonnie Wilkerson. For Sunday services he will attempt to make a decision by 9pm Saturday evening but no later than 6am Sunday morning.
Important Safety Note: Weather conditions can vary substantially from one neighborhood to the next. Even though services may be meeting or an event has not been cancelled, only you can decide whether conditions in your area will allow for safe travel. Please use your own best judgement regarding travel conditions in your area.
Posting of Information: Closings or cancellations will be posted on Hope Community's web site (www.hopecwc.org) and on the church phone system (540 825-4607).
Before heading out to church or other activity please take one of the actions below to verify if our Inclement Weather Policy is in effect. Check your email after 7:00am Sunday morning if you are on the church email distribution list (sign up here)
Check the Alert Box on the homepage of the church website Call the church office after 7:00am 540 825-4607 for the voicemail message. You may have to call several times, due to the anticipated volume of calls due to non internet members and guests
