Easter - Holy Week Easter is the high point of the Christian Year-the culmination of the season of Lent-when we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Saturday, March 20 6pm Seder Family Dinner: Christ in the Passover shows the link between the ancient Festival of Redemption and Christ as the Lamb of God. This sermonic demonstration is visual, so you will actually see a table set with traditional Passover items. A missionary from Jews for Jesus uses Scripture as well as the visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ. The words He spoke in the upper room come alive as each Hebraic item is carefully explained.
Saturday, March 27 10am - Easter Bonnet Day Women Ministry Event - for all ages Bring you own hat and all kinds of scraps from home to share (ribbons, flowers, old jewelry, feathers etc.) If you have some extra hats bring those along too or grab some from the thrift store! Will have as many glue guns, needle and thread and such as we can muster. Cookies and Tea will be served. Show off your hats at Easter Service! Maundy Thursday, April 1 7pm: We will gather as the disciples did. While they had no idea what was about to take place…we have the historical account. Communion will be served, this service will begin our 24 Hours of Prayer.
24 Hours of Prayers begins Thursday 7pm with the Maundy Thursday service ending Friday 7pm
Good Friday, April 2 7pm: St. John in Exile - Come watch Dean Jones as John the beloved disciple looking back over his life with Christ during his time of exile on the island Patmos. This is a one man two act play that will bring to life the book of John.
