Wacky Wednesday Worship

Begins: Sept. 15 7pm

Open to ALL children/youth as we explore worship through fun and zany instruments each week. We will also begin work on the Christmas musical - "The Christmas Puzzle" in October. A light snack will be provided. Please direct all questions to Lacey Wilkerson. Parents may attend "The Truth Project" which is being held in the main auditorium.

The Christmas Puzzle: The setting is grandma's living room. Four cousins are snowed in and the power is out: no video games, no TV, no movies, no cell phones, and the list goes on the total bummer! And so begins The Christmas Puzzle from creative team Carter and Barny Robertson. The cousins discover God's picture perfect plan as they struggle to complete a jigsaw puzzle with nothing but clues from the Bible to guide them. This musical is designed for easy production and presentation, and easily adapts to any size stage, platform, or other performance space.Costuming is what children would normally wear in December, and the setting is a simple "grandma's living room" decorated for Christmas. Performance time is approximately 23 minutes.

During the worship hour, we offer our preschoolers through 3rd grade a unique service - DiscipleTown - where they can learn to more intimately worship God. Kids learn the basics of prayer, scripture, and bible study using games, hands on activities, and music as part of our service. At the conclusion of DiscipleTown the children are released to their parents for a brief time of fellowship, Sunday school begins at 11:15am.

Our goal through the children’s Sunday School hour is to prepare our children for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to lay a Biblical foundation upon which they can build a mature spiritual life.
